The Carnegie Journal Select Awards is an annual editorial awards programme for people, organisations, and places whose records merit preservation beyond the present century. Founded on the motto “Today’s honour, carried into the record of generations and eras,” The Carnegie Journal Select became, in 2026, an international programme across three continents and six countries.
Selection by The Carnegie Journal places a name within a record intended to endure. The records of all award recipients and selected honourees are permanently preserved in decennial editions for university and institutional libraries, and for legal deposit with the British Library.
