Metilience announced on 25 May 2026 that it had completed the acquisition of The Carnegie Journal media IP. Following the acquisition announcement, Metilience completed the incorporation of its UK publishing and operating company, Metilience Global Ltd, on 29 May 2026. The Carnegie Journal is now published and operated under Metilience Global Ltd while maintaining its existing name, domain, and editorial direction.
The acquisition concerns the publication's media IP, editorial framework, domain presence, and operating rights.
The Carnegie Journal will continue under its existing name and domain. Its editorial direction will remain focused on places, stays, taste, design, local brands, people, culture, style, business, and city intelligence for international readers.
Brandon Wright serves as Global Editor, providing international editorial direction for the publication's global-facing editorial framework.
The acquisition reflects Metilience's view that as artificial intelligence automates search, discovery, and recommendation, human editorial judgement and cultural selection become more valuable. The Carnegie Journal will maintain its own editorial identity while using Metilience's operating infrastructure.
The publication is developing editorial partnership structures for boutique hotels, restaurants, design-led brands, cultural spaces, and destination partners. The Carnegie Journal Select is a record, review, and recognition framework, not a paid badge or certification product.
The acquisition amount was not disclosed.
The Carnegie Journal is an independent global editorial media brand published and operated by Metilience Global Ltd. Use of the name does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or institutional connection with Carnegie-named foundations, universities, concert halls, or other organisations.
